Originating from the Åland Islands during the 18th Century, this fisherman’s folk song ‘Who Can Sail Without The Wind?’ achieved popularity from the motion picture ‘Cowboy in Sweden’ during the 1970s. Its haunting melody expresses the heart wrenching sense of longing and separation between a sea bound fisherman and his loved one.
