Aka Tombo or ‘Red Dragonfly’ is a Japanese children’s folk song originally written by Rofuu Miki and composed by Kousaku Yamada. It illustrates the nostalgic childhood memories drawn upon the sight of the crimson insect as memories fade into the obscurity of dreams. Salleh’s arrangement pays tribute to the loss of a loved one – the memory of his departed father.
