Jolene is a music teacher who plays an array of music instruments. While she majors in the piano, she also enjoys singing and strumming along on her ukulele. Growing up as a band member, Jolene played both the clarinet and saxophone too. Her interest in culture and ethnic music spurred her to pick up the erhu as well. Jolene pursued music studies at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and is currently furthering her education at Singapore University of Social Sciences.

Jolene was introduced to choral music at the age of 17 and found herself to enjoy it very much ever since. She has sung in choirs under Dr Goh Toh Chai and Dr Shahril Salleh. Despite being a late bloomer in the choral scene, choral music holds a special place in her heart because it is through Choir where she found joy and confidence in singing. She is especially fascinated by ethnic choral works as in provides rich insights into one’s culture, past and present, which never fails to pique her curiosity. Jolene hopes to share her passion in choral art with the community!
